- CALCULATION OF THE PYRAMID
The easiest way to start the deign of the pyramid is by choosing the base length. On the board above you see the two values for both pyramid to calculate. Link to the design software Qcad click here You can also for the Cheops pyramid style start with the height of the pyramid. You have then to multiply the base length with the following numbers. See below.
2. Materials and tools to use
We need A4 printing paper. Cardboard various thickness. Sellotape, glue stick, a sharp scissor, a fine cutting knife. I recommend a cutting board. Optional I recommend either a guillotine cutter or a rotary cutter.
3. The design drawn
Here you see the printout of both pyramid styles. left the Cheops pyramid and right the Russian pyramid style. Both follow the golden mean rule. Here you find the PDF documents for both drawings. The Cheops Pyramid The Russian Pyramid
4. The montage
We turn the cut out forms upside down and put them next to each other. we start with two sides and carefully put the sellotape onto them by keeping both forms close together. If you make an error you will not be able to remove the tape without destroying it. However you can cut the sellotape and do it again. The principle applies also for the conducting tapes like copper or aluminium. As metal sheet I use metglas. You can cut it with a scissor. Clue double sided tape on to the one form on the back to mount carefully the metglas sheet. Cut access with the scissor and proceed with the metal tapes or with the sellotape.
