I like to announce the availability of a new video under Electronics in courses and research. In this video I analyse the Slayer Exciter which was initiated through my research of a new project. We compare the design variation from Alexey Chekurkov to the standard Slayer exciter design. It is a great way to get your Tesla coil working with very little parts and no frequency generator. Still the selection of components needs to be carefully considered. This is a high-power draw circuit and small transistors will not work. We use the 2N3055 available anywhere for that.
